Lefroy Brooks: Timeless Faucets for Your Bathroom
The importance of the Lefroy Brooks brand is such that it is able to tell the story of Britain through its collections. One of the most important collections, as well as the main one, is the '1900' inspired by the Edwardian style of the turn of the century, followed by the '1950' collection that takes its cue from the dynamic style of the American west coast, evocative of the great American automobiles.
Richard McClintock, a Latin scholar from Hampden-Sydney College, is credited with discovering the source behind the ubiquitous filler text. In seeing a sample of lorem ipsum, his interest was piqued by consectetur—a genuine, albeit rare, Latin word. Consulting a Latin dictionary led McClintock to a passage from De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum (“On the Extremes of Good and Evil”), a first-century B.C. text from the Roman philosopher Cicero.
